Some investors class a penny stock as any stock that has a market price of $5 dollars and under but for the most part a penny stock is usually traded on the OTC BB. Why trade penny stocks? In the stock market trying to find a stock that goes from $10 to $200 can be nearly impossible, but finding that penny stocks that goes from .10 to $3 or $4 dollars is much easier and there is more of them to pick from.
